Description

  • Build clean, reusable analytical data layers in BigQuery.
  • Move business logic from BI tools into the warehouse.
  • Define metrics, dimensions, and semantic consistency across data assets.
  • Design schemas and instruction layers that enable reliable AI-to-data interaction.
  • Test and refine real AI usage to ensure correct outputs and behavior.
  • Implement data-layer access controls, including row-level and column-level security.
  • Ensure consistent metric behavior across BI, AI, and internal tools.
  • Reconcile metrics across different data sources.
  • Prevent sensitive data leakage, shadow metric layers, and uncontrolled query costs.
  • Replace manual data workflows with AI-driven automation and build agents for reporting, validation, and internal analytics.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL and data modeling experience with BigQuery or a similar warehouse.
  • Experience building scalable data layers, not only pipelines.
  • Understanding of metrics, semantics, and analytical correctness.
  • Hands-on exposure to LLMs or AI tools in practical settings.
  • Ability to design systems where data is consumed by machines.
  • Experience with dbt or semantic layers (preferred).
  • Experience with BigQuery performance and cost optimization (preferred).
  • Experience with finance or brokerage data (preferred).
  • Experience implementing fine-grained access control (preferred).
  • Experience with AI agent or tool-based workflows (preferred).
