Description

  • Build, maintain, and improve models that forecast membership growth and retention to support strategic decisions.
  • Conduct market and competitive research across individual and employer-subsidized health insurance offerings.
  • Analyze competitor plan designs, benefit structures, pricing approaches, and market positioning.
  • Track regulatory and policy developments and assess their impact for product teams.
  • Support population and employer-segment research initiatives.
  • Analyze product performance across growth, retention, utilization, and margin metrics.
  • Build and maintain recurring dashboards and performance reports.
  • Support deep-dive analyses for product reviews, remediation efforts, and future-year planning.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks through data analysis.
  • Support product filing cycles through data validation, QA, and analytical support.
  • Prepare analytical materials for regulatory submissions and internal reviews.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear insights and briefing materials for product and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience developing and managing commercial insurance products.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative or healthcare field such as Business, Healthcare, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Finance (preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment such as consulting, finance, economics, or business development (preferred).
  • Proven analytical experience with the ability to translate data into insight and action (preferred).
  • Prior experience in health insurance, especially individual and/or small employer markets, or in the healthcare industry (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, work with large datasets, and distill analyses into actionable business insights (preferred).
  • Structured and systematic thought process (preferred).

Benefits

  • Base pay of $83,628 - $109,761 per year in New Jersey, New York, and California, or $75,265 - $98,785 per year in all other locations.
