Description

  • Work under the guidance of the Senior Director, Medical Economics.
  • Maintain models that forecast the financial impact of proposed clinical and payment policy changes.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and stress testing to evaluate outcomes across utilization and cost scenarios.
  • Analyze integrated claims and operational data, including medical, pharmacy, lab, and authorization data, to identify cost and trend drivers.
  • Provide financial guidance on clinical trends and their impact on performance.
  • Perform retrospective studies to compare actual financial and clinical outcomes against initial projections.
  • Build repeatable analytic processes that can scale across multiple programs.
  • Create executive-ready visualizations tailored to clinical and financial audiences.
  • Promote best practices in automation and documentation, and contribute to automation, AI, and tooling improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • College degree in a STEM field such as Economics, Actuarial Science, Health Economics, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, or Health Services Research.
  • 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience using SQL.
  • Demonstrable track record of building analytics that drive business decisions and actions.
  • Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or currently on the track to become one (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills (preferred).
  • Experience working with medical cost, claims, or healthcare analytics is implied by the role context.
  • Ability to work fully remote while residing in Hartford, CT.
