Description

  • Partner with the CEO to translate business objectives into technical solutions and architectural decisions.
  • Own the architecture and long-term technical vision for the Optix platform and execute the roadmap to get there.
  • Mentor engineers and help build the team’s technical and AI capabilities.
  • Lead the adoption of AI-first development practices and improve engineering workflows.
  • Architect scalable AI systems that integrate with the existing automation platform.
  • Guide decisions on model selection, integration patterns, and overall system architecture.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks and quality standards for AI feature development.
  • Design and build product features in the Optix platform.
  • Work with Customer Success and Technical Support to resolve customer issues and reduce future ticket volume.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation infrastructure to improve feature performance over time.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience at a SaaS company, including navigating ambiguity and establishing AI best practices.
  • Experience developing AI-based software.
  • Hands-on experience with AI APIs, prompt engineering, RAG implementation, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and driving adoption of new technical practices across a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions that balance innovation with pragmatism.
  • Ability to clearly articulate when not to use AI and how to evaluate whether AI features are working.
  • Experience leading a cultural shift to AI-first development practices within an existing team (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI frameworks such as LangChain, Pydantic, and LlamaIndex (preferred).
  • Experience with model evaluation, A/B testing, performance monitoring, and quality assurance for AI features (preferred).
  • Experience with PHP/Laravel and MySQL (preferred).
  • Data engineering background, including ETL pipelines, vector databases, and embedding management (preferred).
  • Deployment expertise with containerization, cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, and monitoring AI systems in production (preferred).
  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS platforms serving enterprise customers (preferred).
