Description

  • Design, document, and maintain comprehensive test cases, test descriptions, and test plans.
  • Build and implement automated tests for backend services.
  • Perform functional and regression testing across frequent product changes.
  • Identify potential defects proactively and isolate, diagnose, and research existing bugs.
  • Determine appropriate testing coverage for new and existing functionality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Project, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Test and investigate issues involving large datasets and complex financial analytics.
  • Develop an understanding of the mathematics associated with options.
  • Manage daily responsibilities proactively while collaborating effectively across a distributed team operating on Eastern Time hours.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience with Java, SQL, and Python.
  • Experience testing backend services and large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative-thinking abilities.
  • Experience with test case design, test documentation, and test plan development.
  • Experience implementing automated tests and conducting functional and regression testing.
  • Strong commitment to technical quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent practical experience in software testing, quality assurance, or backend test automation is accepted.
  • Experience with AWS data tools such as S3, Redshift, RDS, and EMR is preferred.
  • Ability to work full-time remotely on Eastern Time hours in a collaborative, distributed environment.
