Description

  • Lead and help build a growing business development and sales team in the new Virginia office.
  • Create business-winning strategies and campaigns to secure new orders and grow the business internationally.
  • Own opportunities from concept through profitability and ensure sustainable market growth.
  • Develop compelling bids, proposals, and customer-focused value propositions.
  • Work collaboratively with strategic partners and distributors around the world.
  • Represent OpenWorks in presentations, expert panels, demonstrations, and one-to-one meetings.
  • Travel as required across designated geographic areas to engage customers and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes and applicable laws.
  • Support system integration activities and customer engagement as needed.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in the defence and security sector.
  • Strong understanding of multi-domain defence applications.
  • Proven track record of developing successful, profitable business campaigns and sales.
  • Ability to work highly autonomously and productively across all areas of business development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical capabilities to non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel and represent OpenWorks to customers and suppliers.
  • Confident briefing style suitable for senior stakeholders across industry, government, and the military.
  • Strong internal relationship-building skills to ensure customer needs are understood and met.
  • Proven ability to build and lead a team.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Ability to obtain, or already hold, security clearance.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Experience with optical systems preferred.
  • Existing relationships with leading authorities and industry integrators preferred.
