Description

  • Own the delivery of engineering’s quarterly goals and manage resources to support consistent execution.
  • Assess current test coverage, production-readiness gaps, and highest-risk areas within each product team’s codebase.
  • Create a prioritized testing roadmap that engineers can use to plan and execute quality work.
  • Establish testing patterns and frameworks for a multi-language stack so testing is integrated into feature development.
  • Define and socialize quality policies, minimum quality gates, and production-readiness standards with product teams.
  • Work directly in team workflows to pair on test design, review pull requests, and make testing collaborative.
  • Build and own CI/CD quality gates, including test suites, linting rules, and reporting.
  • Create automated PR checks and contributor CI gates to support open-source contribution quality management.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership through code contributions, bug finding, and code reviews.
  • Write technical documentation and processes that improve velocity and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience working as an engineering peer within squads.
  • Python proficiency is required.
  • TypeScript and Go are strongly preferred.
  • Experience integrating testing frameworks from scratch in at least two ecosystems.
  • Experience defining quality standards and production-readiness criteria for an engineering organization.
  • Experience integrating CI/CD quality gates into engineering workflows in a way that drives adoption.
  • Experience introducing testing culture and best practices to one or more teams.
  • Ability to collaborate across product teams and contribute beyond test-only work.
  • Experience building quality frameworks, tooling, or automation from the ground up.
