Description

  • Design, build, maintain, and execute automated regression test suites.
  • Develop automated tests for log and metric ingestion pipelines.
  • Validate search and query functionality, accuracy, and latency.
  • Test distributed tracing accuracy and end-to-end telemetry flows.
  • Validate alert delivery, firing conditions, and routing behavior.
  • Develop automated tests for audit trail queries, integrity, and expected system behavior.
  • Validate Infrastructure as Code deployments, including clean-state, reproducible deployments.
  • Execute and help design load, scalability, and failure-injection tests.
  • Run regression testing across multiple versions and environments in parallel.
  • Identify, document, triage, and track defects; verify fixes before quality sign-off.
  • Collaborate with engineering and test architecture teams to improve regression coverage.
  • Maintain clear automation code and testing documentation, and provide regression evidence in sprint reviews.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as an SDET, Test Automation Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, or similar technical testing role.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test suites.
  • Strong API testing and API automation experience.
  • Experience with scripting for technical validation and automation.
  • Experience with load and/or performance testing tools.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based environments, especially AWS.
  • Experience testing complex backend, infrastructure-heavy, data-intensive, or distributed systems.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform-deployed environments and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
  • Working knowledge of OpenTelemetry-based systems and distributed tracing concepts.
  • Experience working with formal acceptance criteria and Agile development processes, including Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
  • Nice to have: previous experience testing observability platforms, OpenTelemetry implementations, alerting workflows, audit trails, failure-injection scenarios, security regression, ERP systems, or CI/CD-integrated regression suites.
