Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable server-side applications.
  • Own backend services and APIs across the product stack.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and support system stability.
  • Optimize database performance to improve application reliability and maintainability.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions for backend systems.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
  • Write and maintain automated API tests.
  • Work within a remote-first, fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases, with PostgreSQL preferred.
  • Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to write automated API tests.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative workflows, including GitHub.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Rollbar or CloudWatch.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience in healthcare or telehealth environments is preferred.
  • Experience optimizing legacy systems is preferred.
  • Exposure to scalable distributed architectures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and observability best practices is preferred.
