Description

  • Review and validate timesheets for approximately 150 hourly technicians across five companies.
  • Process weekly payroll for about 50 salaried employees.
  • Manage payroll for approximately 20 commissioned salespeople, including reconciling commission payouts against draws and sales performance.
  • Maintain and update employee records in Paychex, including onboarding and terminations.
  • Adjust pay rates and compensation details as needed.
  • Track and apply PTO accruals accurately.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain accurate compensation records.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and support audits as required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in Paychex or similar payroll software.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
  • Strong reconciliation skills, especially for commission-based compensation.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Experience managing payroll across multiple entities or business units (preferred).
  • Background in industries with hourly field staff such as construction or technical services (preferred).
  • Familiarity with PTO policies and accrual methodologies (preferred).
