Description

  • Define and evolve the overall system architecture for the platform with a focus on scalability, performance, and resiliency.
  • Establish architecture standards, design principles, and best practices across engineering teams.
  • Lead design reviews and technical governance for major initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven systems, and API-first design.
  • Ensure strong security, compliance, and data privacy practices across systems.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and mentor senior engineers.
  • Serve as a go-to expert for complex technical challenges and escalations.
  • Influence engineering culture by promoting engineering excellence, code quality, and innovation.
  • Work with engineering leadership on long-term platform strategy and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to improve deployment efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Drive initiatives in AI integration, automation, and intelligent workflows.
  • Continuously improve development velocity and system performance.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience in software engineering and system architecture.
  • Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails or similar dynamic backend frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in React or modern frontend frameworks.
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Deep understanding of relational databases, with PostgreSQL preferred.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Experience leading both front-end and back-end technical direction is preferred.
