Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers with varying levels of experience.
  • Provide oversight to ensure consistent project management practices, delivery standards, and quality across energy projects.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across Transmission, Distribution, Substation, and Power Generation teams.
  • Support Project Managers in managing scope, schedule, communication, and cross-discipline collaboration challenges.
  • Monitor group workload, utilization, and performance, and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Guide process development, best practices, and resource planning across the Energy portfolio.
  • Partner with technical leaders and Energy market leadership to align project management support with business priorities.
  • Act as a client-facing leader when appropriate and maintain clear, high-level client communication.
  • Foster a collaborative, transparent, and accountable team environment.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience leading Project Managers or project teams.
  • 8 or more years of experience in project management within energy, utilities, or related infrastructure markets.
  • Project management experience supporting Transmission, Distribution, Substation, and/or Power Generation projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute effectively and work well with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring Project Managers at multiple experience levels.
  • Experience supporting team or practice growth through strategic planning.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with new and existing clients.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is preferred but not required.
  • A track record of attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing talent.
