Description

  • Serve as the technical expert for Auth0, engaging customers to address identity management challenges and drive a technical preference for Okta's Auth0 offering.
  • Deliver interactive product presentations and solution demonstrations to audiences ranging from developers to C-level executives.
  • Whiteboard and model solutions showing how Auth0 will support customers' architecture requirements and use cases.
  • Lead Q&A and discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand technical and business requirements.
  • Plan and execute well-defined, outcome-focused Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and Proofs of Value (PoVs).
  • Collaborate with account executives to develop and execute territory and account strategies to maximize the Okta opportunity.
  • Maintain a broad and deep technical understanding of the Auth0 product line and the underlying technologies and protocols.
  • Stay current on industry trends through self-study, research, and online courses.
  • Proactively engage in local and regional sales and marketing events to support demand generation and customer outreach.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and German.
  • Software engineering or development experience with a desire to move into customer-facing pre-sales work.
  • Understanding of how to design and implement reliable, scalable, high-performance web-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols and frameworks such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
  • Development experience on both server-side and client-side application design.
  • Comfort using cloud-based source control systems such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred: experience in a Pre-Sales role (Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer).
  • Preferred: familiarity with cloud deployment stacks (AWS, Azure, GCP), mobile app development (React Native/Ionic/Xamarin) and/or prior experience with Okta and/or Auth0, and experience speaking at technical conferences.
