Description

Transform and optimize the storage of reactor data and physics results.
Design and configure CI/CD pipelines for multiphysics analyses.
Build tools that help reactor engineers visualize, compare, and evaluate reactor designs and physics.
Integrate simulation tools into analysis pipelines.
Implement physics kernels to solve open problems or improve the performance of existing models.
Develop reactor optimization schemes and statistical experiments to inform design changes.
Identify and improve process inefficiencies in reactor design using software.
Collaborate with nuclear engineers and cross-functional teammates on reactor design and analysis challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of work experience.
Fluency in Python.
Proficiency in Git.
Experience with CI/CD.
Proficiency in Rust is preferred.
Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, especially Svelte, is preferred.
Experience working with large data collection pipelines is preferred.
Experience with optimization, statistics, and design of experiments is preferred.
Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD is preferred.
Prior experience developing and implementing software quality assurance programs and testing, especially in quality-focused industries, is preferred.
Curiosity and passion for nuclear power, closing the nuclear fuel cycle, and sustainable energy generation is preferred.
