Description

  • Develop and execute supply base strategies across the sourced BOM with component-level visibility into cost, risk, capacity, and qualification needs.
  • Define and maintain sourcing strategies for every critical component aligned to deployment timelines and scaling plans.
  • Shift purchasing from reactive buying to proactive, forward-planned sourcing and identify supply risks before they affect milestones.
  • Build supplier segmentation, profiling, and governance frameworks covering capability, qualification status, capacity, commercial leverage, and strategic importance.
  • Own and manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and drive supplier performance management through scorecards, corrective actions, and relationship planning.
  • Align procurement with federal and state tax credit and domestic content requirements and partner with Finance on tracking and documentation.
  • Lead RFx process improvements and help evaluate, select, and implement sourcing tools and supplier systems.
  • Support P2P implementation and system alignment between sourcing strategy and transactional execution.
  • Ensure sourcing strategies comply with nuclear regulatory and quality requirements and support safety-related procurement activities.
  • Maintain working knowledge of ASME BPVC requirements and code stamps and apply them to supplier qualification and fabrication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or category management in a hardware-focused industry.
  • Direct experience with nuclear hardware, nuclear energy systems, or suppliers operating under nuclear regulatory and quality frameworks.
  • Experience building or restructuring supply base strategies at the systems or program level.
  • Strong understanding of cost drivers, supplier risk management, and capacity planning.
  • Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and long-term supplier agreements.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence engineering and finance stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Experience with nuclear-qualified suppliers and safety-related procurement programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) requirements and code stamps such as N and U is preferred.
  • Experience implementing RFx platforms, supplier portals, or procurement systems is preferred.
  • Experience supporting tax credit compliance or domestic content qualification strategies is preferred.
  • Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Remote employees must travel to Santa Clara, CA twice per quarter and be onsite for the first two weeks of onboarding.
  • Applicants must meet U.S. person requirements for export control purposes.
