Description

  • Develop and execute the global commodity strategy for thermal systems.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing for strategic components, including supplier identification, RFQs, cost analysis, contract negotiation, and statement of work execution.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for strategic suppliers and manage supplier performance and development timelines.
  • Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify, qualify, and develop suppliers that meet technical, quality, and timing goals.
  • Build cost models and conduct should-cost analyses using knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Manage supplier development and parts availability for prototype builds and production ramp.
  • Resolve supply constraints and critical supplier issues to support on-time delivery.
  • Mentor junior supply chain team members and strengthen the team’s commercial capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA preferred.
  • 8-15 years of progressive, hands-on experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
  • Deep expertise in thermal management systems, such as Battery Cooling, HVAC, FECM, and Fluid Transfer Systems.
  • Proven experience developing commodity strategies and leading complex, high-value RFQs and negotiations.
  • Expert knowledge of component manufacturing processes and cost-modeling techniques.
  • Experience with automotive part launches and serial production.
  • Strong understanding of APQP and PPAP quality and product development processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Willingness to travel 15-25% domestically and internationally.
