Description

  • Independently manage the capture, classification, description, preservation, and safeguarding of electronic records.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure the quality and reliability of archival instruments, repositories, and databases.
  • Ensure records are accurately described and accessible to end users.
  • Facilitate timely access to records and support retrieval of information for customer information access policies.
  • Coordinate with information technology counterparts to maintain and optimize document management and archival systems.
  • Apply retention schedules, preservation practices, and safeguarding guidelines to support long-term record preservation.
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to records management standards and institutional operations.
  • Perform other duties aligned with the scope of the position as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Archival Science.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in records management.
  • Solid knowledge of records management and archival principles, including classification schemes, retention schedules, records lifecycle management, metadata, description practices, and institutional taxonomies.
  • Proven experience managing electronic records, including capture/upload processes, metadata definition, quality control, naming conventions, version control, retrieval, and support for internal users.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Hands-on experience with records management systems such as SharePoint, ezShare, Teams, or similar platforms.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and oral.
  • Portuguese or French is considered a plus.
