Description

  • Guide universities in program and course decisions that support retention and graduation goals.
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders as a thought partner and share best practices and innovations.
  • Advise deans and program directors on program design, curriculum alignment, and faculty-facing conversations.
  • Partner with build, maintenance, and term prep teams to translate program vision into course execution.
  • Review course builds and refreshes, provide formative feedback, and ensure quality benchmarks are met.
  • Coordinate with senior learning designers, project managers, and leadership to communicate progress and resolve blockers.
  • Own the continuous improvement process for assigned programs using performance and student feedback data.
  • Onboard and support faculty new to teaching online when needed.
  • Represent Noodle’s learning capabilities across campus with the general manager.
  • Support sales and consultation efforts for new partnerships on occasion.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in instructional design, teaching, learning roles, or managing instructional design teams and multi-designer projects.
  • Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent higher education experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically to partner institutions across the United States.
  • Availability to work hours aligned to university partners, primarily in Eastern and Central time zones.
  • Exceptional communication skills and fluency in university culture, including faculty dynamics.
  • Experience in higher education and online learning with US schools, ideally including teaching and/or managing faculty.
  • Expertise in curricular and pedagogical needs and innovations.
  • Experience in online course development and/or instruction in synchronous and fully asynchronous settings.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, learning science, and effective online pedagogy.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation skills and ability to build rapport quickly with faculty and program directors.
  • Familiarity with student retention research and its application to graduation outcomes.
  • Legal authorization to live and work in the United States, with U.S. residency required throughout employment.
