Description

  • Own analytics and reporting requirements across the business from end to end.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured data requirements, outputs, and analysis approaches.
  • Decide whether a need should be solved through dashboards, reports, datasets, or ad hoc analysis.
  • Investigate and document data sources, reports, fields, and metric definitions.
  • Map source data into existing fact and dimension data models and maintain business logic and metric calculations.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering on transformations, data models, data exposure layers, and validation requirements.
  • Own dashboards for operational, executive, and ad hoc reporting and ensure they are accurate, usable, and trusted.
  • QA reporting outputs against source data and business expectations.
  • Reconcile discrepancies across systems and reports and build validation workflows to protect data integrity.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting standards, and clear data logic.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or BI roles.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, validation logic, and metric building.
  • Experience with modern data warehouses, with BigQuery preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including fact and dimension tables.
  • Experience with BI tools, with Looker Studio preferred.
  • Familiarity with Dataform, SQLX, workflows, or similar tools such as dbt.
  • Ability to read and understand transformation logic.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines.
  • Experience with JavaScript, Python, and Git/GitHub.
  • Experience working with messy, real-world operational data.
  • Healthcare, EHR, or CRM data experience is a strong plus.
  • Additional tools such as D3.js, Streamlit, Google Apps Script, or Cloud Run are nice to have.
