Description

  • Build and maintain features across the full stack, from server-side backend logic to React front-end interfaces.
  • Own problems end to end by scoping work, making technical decisions, and shipping solutions with minimal hand-holding.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into working software.
  • Move between frontend, backend, and data concerns as needed across the engagement.
  • Use AI coding tools as part of the daily workflow for prototyping, refactoring, testing, and shipping.
  • Communicate progress, tradeoffs, and blockers clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Apply pragmatic judgment to legacy code, new builds, and mixed technical environments.

Requirements

  • Significant experience as a full stack developer with hands-on server-side coding experience.
  • Strong experience building with React on the frontend.
  • Extensive, demonstrated experience using AI development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code in the build process.
  • A clear point of view on where AI development tools help and where they fall short.
  • A self-starter mindset and comfort identifying the next problem without waiting for a ticket.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort speaking directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Breadth across multiple languages, frameworks, and tools rather than depth in only one area.
  • A track record of adapting quickly to new stacks and technologies across different projects or roles.
  • Experience with PHP specifically (preferred).
  • Experience with additional frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue (preferred).
  • Background in solution architecture, SQL/database work, or business intelligence (preferred).
  • E-commerce development experience (preferred).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (preferred).
  • Experience wearing multiple hats such as developer, designer, architect, or technical lead (preferred).
