Description

  • Own the architecture and lead design, AI-assisted implementation, and validation for cloud-based, multi-threaded, multi-server systems.
  • Set technical direction through collaborative architectural decision-making with the team.
  • Ensure the solution addresses security, scalability, compatibility, maintainability, and responsible use of AI at build time and runtime.
  • Test your own work, fix defects, and help resolve customer support issues.
  • Ensure the team follows architectural direction and standards.
  • Mentor and coach team members on architecture practices, AI-led delivery techniques, and validation of AI outputs.
  • Liaise with Product Management during planning sessions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product architecture, delivery, and process based on AI advancements.

Requirements

  • Solid experience developing applications in C# using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
  • Proven ability to break down complex market requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient system designs.
  • Experience with multi-tenant cloud solutions.
  • Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience creating maintainable code and using source control tools such as DevOps, Git, or similar.
  • Experience with unit testing, code reviews, and other product quality practices.
  • Solid understanding of network security, authentication, and authorization.
  • Experience working with databases using Entity Framework or similar tools.
  • Good knowledge of SOLID principles.
  • Experience creating RESTful APIs and ensuring API extensibility.
  • Recent practical experience using AI tooling such as Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent in daily work, with the ability to explain what worked and what did not.
  • Comfort with probabilistic systems and good judgment about when to use AI in a high-trust domain.
  • Ability to ramp up on a new AI tool or technique in days, not months.
  • Preferred: security best practices including OWASP Top Ten.
  • Preferred: experience with Azure SQL Server.
  • Preferred: experience with DevOps, pipelines, TeamCity, or GitHub.
  • Preferred: experience with Windows services.
  • Preferred: experience using AI tooling in an architect role for design review, ADR drafting, threat modelling, or contract design.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AI-native software patterns such as agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, prompt-and-response evaluation, and evidence packets.
