Description

  • Assist with software development projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Write, test, and debug code in Java or Python.
  • Implement software for ingesting geospatial data into RDBMS systems.
  • Prepare briefings and architecture design diagrams.
  • Participate in code reviews to learn and apply best practices.
  • Research and help implement new technologies or tools.
  • Document code and processes for future reference.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with a full-time mentor and team members on assigned projects.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Major in computer science, engineering, MIS, or information technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of internet research.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Interest in software engineering and willingness to learn; no prior work history is necessary.
  • Ability to work remotely for approximately 10 hours per week.
  • Start date as soon as possible.
  • Preferred consideration for candidates living in a HUBZone.
