Description

  • Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software and specialized utility programs.
  • Migrate and modernize legacy mainframe functionality into cloud-native microservices running in AWS GovCloud.
  • Build new services using a microservices architecture and deploy them in containers on OpenShift.
  • Transition investigative search functionality to Elasticsearch to improve response and report creation times.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues in an enterprise-scale production environment.
  • Support production operations in collaboration with the ART team.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
  • Design and analyze databases within the application area, independently or as part of a team.
  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to software development tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with at least 5 years of work experience, or an associate’s degree with at least 7 years of experience.
  • Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in full-stack development with Java and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience working in an Agile framework, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and CI/CD pipeline activities.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containers for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Experience building and operating cloud-native architectures within secure, regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting event-driven architectures with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Hands-on experience with two or more of the following: Apache Kafka, Pub/Sub, streaming event sources, or GitOps tools such as GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, or Tecton.
  • Preferred qualifications include a positive, collaborative attitude and commitment to team success.
