Description

  • Build relationships with key decision makers at the school district level.
  • Sell Newsela’s suite of products to schools and districts.
  • Own pipeline management and forecasting for your territory.
  • Design and execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through close.
  • Develop territory-specific sales strategy based on funding, state initiatives, demographics, and the K-12 landscape.
  • Work toward individual revenue targets as part of a regional sales team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company growth and sales execution.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of quota-carrying sales experience selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to schools for School Sales Rep roles.
  • 2+ years of quota-carrying, new-business-focused sales experience selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to districts for SMB Sales Rep roles.
  • 3+ years of quota-carrying, new-business-focused sales experience selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to districts for Mid-Market Sales Rep roles.
  • 5+ years of quota-carrying, new-business-focused sales experience selling SaaS products or digital education solutions to districts for Enterprise Sales Rep roles.
  • Strong background in lead generation and business development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking, prospecting, pipeline building, forecasting accuracy, and closing.
  • Knowledge of MEDDPICC or another sales methodology.
  • Experience forecasting SaaS business.
  • Drive, self-awareness, and coachability.
  • Experience working across school, SMB, mid-market, or enterprise education sales segments (preferred).

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission.
  • School role compensation: $60,000 base, $60,000 on-target commission, $120,000 on-target earnings.
  • SMB role compensation: $70,000 base, $69,500 on-target commission, $139,500 on-target earnings.
  • Mid-Market role compensation: $100,000 base, $110,000 on-target commission, $210,000 on-target earnings.
  • Enterprise role compensation: $125,000 base, $150,000 on-target commission, $275,000 on-target earnings.
