Description

  • Act as the full business owner for key areas of the APM product, driving complex initiatives from start to finish.
  • Own the vision, strategy, and prioritized roadmap for key areas of the New Relic APM product portfolio.
  • Drive AI strategy by conceptualizing and delivering AI innovations that transform how users interact with observability data.
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day product management workflows to improve velocity, data analysis, and decision-making.
  • Develop deep expertise in the APM market, customer needs, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and guide strategy.
  • Partner with design, engineering, marketing, support, and sales to deliver end-to-end user value and successful go-to-market launches.
  • Engage directly with customers to conduct research, validate requirements, and ensure solutions solve real-world problems.
  • Build and manage a data-informed roadmap by defining, analyzing, and reporting on product metrics.
  • Communicate strategy, roadmap, and complex tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Bring proactive initiative to identify roadblocks, marshal resources, and drive execution without waiting for direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; a background in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience building and launching technical products as a Product Manager.
  • Strong bias for action and proactive ownership.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to build high-impact product capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clarity and alignment in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong customer empathy and experience identifying customer requirements and shipping engaging experiences.
  • Direct experience with observability products or tools, especially in APM, is a plus.
  • Prior SaaS product experience with a developer persona is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise B2B products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
