Description

  • Own the roadmap and delivery of the AI Platform from its current state to a market-leading developer-first platform.
  • Own the P&L for the business unit, including budget management for R&D, infrastructure/inference costs, and headcount planning.
  • Build and lead a distributed high-performance R&D organization across Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design.
  • Define the technical vision for the platform and help document and evangelize the strategy with internal and external customers.
  • Partner with Partnerships, Sales, and Marketing to define the go-to-market motion.
  • Act as the technical face of the product for strategic customers, partners, and the open-source community.
  • Lead the transition from 0 to 1 by defining the technical architecture and scaling the platform for enterprise customers.
  • Build a world-class team of engineers and product thinkers to support production-grade AI applications at scale.

Requirements

  • Experience as a founder, early-stage employee, or 0-to-1 leader within a larger tech company.
  • Experience building and launching a software product from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of the AI landscape, including AI frameworks, foundation models, embeddings, and vector databases.
  • 10+ years of experience building scalable Cloud/SaaS products, enterprise infrastructure software, or developer platforms.
  • Proven experience managing managers and leading cross-functional organizations of 100+ people.
  • A product-hacker mindset with an emphasis on shipping and learning quickly while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for customers and executives.
  • MongoDB experience is a plus.
  • Experience with multi-agent orchestration and Model Context Protocol (MCP) is relevant to the role.

  • Base salary range of $203,000 to $399,000 USD for U.S.-based candidates.
