Description

  • Define and influence the technical strategy for logging integrations while remaining hands-on in the codebase.
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data integration services and tools that handle massive throughput.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Principal Engineers, and cross-functional partners to turn ambiguous needs into technical roadmaps.
  • Lead by example through strong code reviews, detailed design docs, and engineering best practices.
  • Mentor engineers across levels through coaching, tech talks, workshops, and knowledge sharing.
  • Pair program with engineers and help solve architecture challenges and production performance bottlenecks.
  • Contribute to or lead front-end initiatives when needed to support end-to-end user experience.
  • Use observability and SRE practices to identify and resolve reliability, latency, and performance issues proactively.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Highly proficient in Java and Go with a track record of delivering production-grade code.
  • Deep understanding of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of reliable, scalable distributed systems.
  • Meaningful full-stack experience, including delivery or ownership of front-end projects.
  • Deep expertise in SRE and observability tools for distributed environments.
  • Ability to drive consensus and influence technical direction through clear communication and technical justification.
  • Preferred: active contributor to Fluent Bit, Fluentd, or OpenTelemetry ecosystems.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with Helm, Kubernetes Operators, or cloud-native logging drivers such as AWS FireLens.
  • Preferred: experience with data integration or ingestion products in the SaaS vendor or telemetry space.
  • Preferred: experience building real-time tools to collect, process, and ship log data at petabyte scale.
