Description

  • Lead the end-to-end technical implementation of the e-commerce ecosystem across commerce platforms, order management systems, payment, tax, fraud, and order tracking solutions.
  • Design and implement core integrations across the order lifecycle, including Merchant of Record and warehouse and inventory management systems.
  • Define and execute the integration strategy for omnichannel commerce across marketplaces, social commerce, and reseller platforms.
  • Ensure systems are optimized for performance, scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, including guiding architecture decisions, conducting code reviews, and supporting solution design and development.
  • Partner with business, product, and IT stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps to support short-term delivery and long-term scalability.
  • Identify dependencies and mitigate risks across platforms and integrations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of system architecture by addressing performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain architecture documentation and technical standards, and support documentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on e-commerce implementations and delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale, high-transaction systems, preferably in global environments.
  • Strong expertise in commerce platforms, order management systems, payment gateways, fraud prevention, tax systems, and Merchant of Record solutions.
  • Solid understanding of web architecture, object-oriented design, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with multi-country, multi-currency, and multi-language commerce environments.
  • Strong consulting mindset with the ability to analyze complex systems and drive data-driven technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C/B2B), Global-e, ESW, or Narvar is preferred.
  • Knowledge of supporting enterprise platforms such as PIM, DAM, CDP, CMS, and marketing automation tools is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, integration tools such as MuleSoft or Workato, and REST/SOAP APIs or event-driven architectures is preferred.
  • Salesforce certifications are a plus.
