Description

  • Monitor computer hardware performance and diagnose system issues.
  • Upgrade computers by adding hardware components such as RAM or disk drives.
  • Replace worn or defective parts and clean hardware to manufacturer specifications.
  • Test repaired equipment before returning it to users.
  • Set up new computer configurations, including OS image deployment.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software applications, including rollout projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software application and operating system issues.
  • Track, route, and document support tickets, actions, and resolutions.
  • Serve as an escalation point for urgent issues and further escalate when needed.
  • Perform system health checks and mitigation to meet encryption, patching, and backup standards.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in desktop support, including troubleshooting Mac and Windows systems.
  • Advanced technical skills in installing and troubleshooting relevant software and hardware.
  • Knowledge and experience with customer IT service delivery, ticketing, and knowledge-based systems.
  • Extensive experience supporting Office 365.
  • A+ certification or equivalent years of experience.
  • Preferred certification in Dell, HP, or Apple technologies.
  • Experience with core client hardware and software environments such as Lenovo ThinkPad, MacBooks, Mac OS, Windows 10, Office 365, CrashPlan, McAfee AV/ePO, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, Adobe Suite, PingID, SCCM, and Casper.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and handle stressful situations.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, planning, organizing, prioritizing, and attention-to-detail skills.
