Description

  • Lead the design and execution of performance animation for key story sequences and interactive cinematics.
  • Oversee facial performances, dialogue scenes, and action-driven character performances.
  • Collaborate with Art, Design, and Engineering teams to establish production pipelines and quality standards.
  • Define animation guidelines and standards for facial animation, dialogue, and character acting.
  • Develop scalable, efficient workflows that improve animation quality and productivity.
  • Optimize motion-capture and keyframe-animation pipelines using film and game production expertise.
  • Resolve technical challenges across the animation production pipeline.
  • Ensure consistency in character emotion and visual storytelling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Animation, Film, Directing, Digital Media Arts, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience as an Animation Director, Action Director, Performance Animator, or in a related film or game industry role.
  • Portfolio demonstrating both action-oriented and subtle dramatic character performances.
  • Deep understanding of cinematic language, character acting, and emotional storytelling.
  • Ability to independently deliver high-quality facial animation, dialogue scenes, and action-driven sequences.
  • Proficiency in motion-capture data processing, keyframe animation, and in-engine performance integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges throughout the animation production pipeline.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across Art, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Experience establishing animation standards, optimizing workflows, and improving team-wide delivery quality (highly preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment; film studio or cinematic team experience is a plus.
