Description

  • Shape and execute the long-term engineering strategy for Transformers initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product and Architecture leaders to translate customer needs and emerging technologies into scalable solutions.
  • Build and maintain a roadmap for the Transformers engineering organization that balances innovation with operational excellence.
  • Oversee delivery execution across multiple teams to ensure high-quality, on-time releases.
  • Manage and mentor engineers and technical staff while fostering trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Guide hiring, performance management, and career development for the engineering team.
  • Partner with Product Management and Design to define priorities and maintain strategic alignment.
  • Present technical strategies, roadmaps, and progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Champion best practices for architecture, reliability, scalability, security, compliance, performance, and privacy across engineering systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in engineering management roles.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple teams or a group of 7+ engineers and leaders.
  • Proven ability to define and execute a technical vision aligned with business strategy.
  • Experience leading distributed, cloud-based product development in Azure or AWS.
  • Deep understanding of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, microservices, and scalable architectures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical information and present it effectively to leadership and cross-functional audiences.
  • Strong technical foundation in software engineering with the ability to mentor across technical domains (preferred).
  • History of building high-performing, engaged teams that deliver impactful software (preferred).
