Description

  • Plan and coordinate the release lifecycle, including branching strategy, feature freeze, release trains, and post-mortems.
  • Define and maintain deployment calendars in coordination with development, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Implement and operate Blue/Green and Canary deployment strategies to reduce production impact.
  • Manage rollbacks, hotfixes, and incident communication during change windows.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Administer Azure Repos and branching strategies such as GitFlow and trunk-based development.
  • Ensure build quality through test coverage, static analysis, and quality gates before each environment.
  • Manage development, staging, and production environments using infrastructure as code.
  • Deploy and maintain applications in Azure App Services, including slot-based deployment setups.
  • Monitor application health with Azure Application Insights and manage APIs and databases in Azure services.

Requirements

  • Mid-to-high level technical experience with Azure DevOps, including multi-stage pipeline design and maintenance.
  • Experience with Azure Repos, branching strategies, and pull request policies.
  • Hands-on experience deploying with Azure App Services, including slots, autoscaling, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with Azure Application Insights, including instrumentation, KQL queries, and custom alerts.
  • Experience with Azure API Management, including API policies, versioning, and developer portals.
  • Experience with Azure SQL and Azure SQL Managed Instance, including schema migrations and backup/restore.
  • Practical implementation experience with Blue/Green and Canary deployments.
  • Experience using GitHub Actions as an alternative or complement to Azure-based pipelines.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Agents, Copilot, and AI assistants such as Claude or Gemini for scripting, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document runbooks, post-mortems, and architecture decisions.
