Description

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale ingestion and transformation.
  • Develop and maintain data platforms and warehousing solutions for analytics and business intelligence.
  • Implement scalable data storage solutions and ensure high availability and performance.
  • Improve performance across data processing workflows for speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, stakeholders, and client teams to translate business needs into data engineering solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across systems.
  • Support CI/CD processes for data pipeline deployments and apply DevOps best practices to data workflows.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in version control, automation, and testing.
  • Help define source code management and deployment processes.
  • Support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Poland for this remote contract position.
  • At least 6 years of commercial experience at Senior Engineer level, with a focus on data engineering.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and Spark for large-scale data processing.
  • Experience with Databricks and Azure Fabric.
  • Experience with data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar.
  • Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and schema design.
  • Experience with cloud data solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including data lake architectures.
  • Experience with automation, CI/CD for data pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Deep understanding of version control tools such as Git and collaborative development using pull requests and code reviews.
  • Practical experience working in agile environments and building real-world solutions.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
