Description

  • Design research plans and lead the research phase of projects, including interviews, focus groups, and desk research.
  • Co-develop strategic frameworks that align partner goals with social and environmental impact objectives.
  • Build trusted partner relationships and provide proactive recommendations as needs evolve.
  • Create clear, compelling presentations that communicate research findings and strategic insights.
  • Help define key audiences for impact strategies and campaigns using quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Support ad hoc research and strategic needs, including business development proposals and framework development.
  • Collaborate closely with strategists, project managers, and creatives on cross-functional project work.
  • Synthesize research and analysis into actionable insights and client-ready materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience contributing to research and analysis projects.
  • Experience turning research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience bringing strategic visions to life in a nonprofit, foundation, or social impact organization, or in consulting at a creative, strategic, or design agency.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects at once and shift between independent work and client-facing meetings.
  • Ability to create rigorous, compelling deliverables such as notes documents and insights presentations.
  • Proactive, forward-thinking approach with the ability to anticipate needs and suggest solutions.
  • Strong curiosity and comfort interfacing with a wide range of people and organizations.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
  • Preferred experience in social impact or consulting roles.
  • Preferred experience designing and deploying quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Preferred experience with strategic synthesis, recommendations, and presentation development.
  • Preferred understanding of human-centered design and HCD research methods.
  • Candidates can be based anywhere in the United States.
