Description

  • Design, develop, and validate algorithms and statistical models for large-scale genomic data analysis.
  • Co-architect, implement, and deploy automated workflows for clinical diagnostics.
  • Ensure robust performance for variant calling, fusion detection, and automated quality control.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and optimization of computational infrastructure.
  • Analyze complex multi-omic datasets using internal high-performance pipelines.
  • Collaborate with wet-lab scientists and statisticians to achieve research milestones.
  • Develop novel bioinformatics algorithms and pipelines for early-stage cancer diagnostics.
  • Work across departments as an individual contributor and collaborative co-developer.

Requirements

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Cancer Biology, or a similar field.
  • 0–3 years of professional or postgraduate experience in bioinformatics or computational biology.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in high-throughput DNA sequencing (NGS) analysis, including sequence alignment, mapping, and clinical-grade variant calling.
  • Proven track record of developing high-impact bioinformatics methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithm design, and computational complexity analysis.
  • High proficiency in Python and the scientific stack, including NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration languages, with WDL preferred, for scalable pipeline development and versioning.
  • Experience with cloud-based distributed computing environments, specifically AWS.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments, including command-line tools and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with cancer biology biomarkers and contemporary analytical techniques.
  • Working knowledge of public genomic databases such as TCGA, COSMIC, or OncoKB.
