Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and resilient full-stack systems and features.
  • Define and drive best practices for architecture, security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop high-quality, efficient, and well-tested code across front-end and back-end components using Python and JavaScript.
  • Build modern and responsive user interfaces using React and/or server-side rendering with HTMX.
  • Design and build robust APIs and services with a focus on performance and reliability.
  • Optimize and work with relational databases using SQL to support data integrity and efficient querying.
  • Mentor mid-level and senior engineers and raise engineering quality across the organization.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver features.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve monitoring, logging, and deployment processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, with significant full-stack experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
  • Strong command of JavaScript and experience building modern web applications with React or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with or strong interest in HTMX.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL, including complex queries, schema design, and performance tuning; PostgreSQL preferred.
  • Proven track record of designing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar unified data and AI platforms for data engineering, ETL pipelines, or machine learning workloads.
  • Experience with containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not provided.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
