Description

  • Design and implement end-to-end features using NestJS and React.
  • Analyze the existing codebase and business workflows to support gradual platform modernization.
  • Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries.
  • Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and maintainability standards.
  • Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD improvements.
  • Identify technical risks and dependencies, and communicate delivery concerns proactively.
  • Support backlog refinement, planning, and Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience, including TypeScript backend and frontend development.
  • Hands-on experience with NestJS and React.
  • Experience building and integrating REST APIs and GraphQL.
  • Experience developing complex backend systems with substantial business logic.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Expertise with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience analyzing large legacy codebases with limited documentation and contributing to technical decisions.
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban teams, with strong stakeholder communication skills.
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher English and Ukrainian proficiency for daily team communication.
  • Experience with ERP platforms, financial systems, enterprise SaaS, multi-tenant applications, or large B2B portals (preferred).
  • Knowledge of complex SQL, stored procedures, database functions, PHP, or Microsoft SQL Server (preferred).
  • Experience incrementally modernizing legacy systems and using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor (preferred).
