Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists while overseeing project execution and professional growth.
  • Architect and implement high-quality Python code using software development best practices and Git version control.
  • Deploy and monitor machine learning models in production to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Translate complex business problems into clear data science frameworks and project plans.
  • Conduct advanced statistical and machine learning research to generate actionable insights.
  • Communicate findings and solution value to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership through presentations and reports.
  • Guide junior team members in improving their presentation skills and confidence.
  • Identify and propose new data-driven opportunities to create business value.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that enables parallel work and efficient delivery for clients.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in Python with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, collaborative coding, and Git version control.
  • Solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning theory.
  • Ability to understand and implement new techniques from academic literature.
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Passion for leadership, mentoring, and developing junior talent.
  • Proven experience in data science with a track record of leading projects or mentoring team members (nice to have).
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Databricks (nice to have).
  • Previous experience in a client-facing or consulting role, or a portfolio of completed data science projects/open-source contributions (nice to have).
