Description

  • Lead and develop a small team of engineers responsible for experience optimization systems.
  • Build and scale the platform that powers personalized, in-session experiences across the site.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business strategy into engineering roadmaps and scalable systems.
  • Clarify ambiguous problem spaces by connecting technical constraints, business priorities, and user experience goals.
  • Make thoughtful technical decisions across multiple services to support platform growth.
  • Coach and mentor engineers on technical decision-making, execution, and career growth.
  • Help define the foundation for increasingly sophisticated experimentation and user personalization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience leading engineering teams as a people manager, technical lead, or Tech Lead Manager.
  • Strong software engineering background with experience across full-stack systems and a backend-heavy focus.
  • Strong backend experience in languages such as Go or Python.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with Product, Design, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to define technical direction in ambiguous spaces and break broad goals into actionable plans.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers and helping teams raise the bar technically and operationally.
  • Experience building systems related to experimentation, personalization, segmentation, audience targeting, or decisioning is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript is preferred.
  • Experience with modern frameworks such as Django or Flask is preferred.
