Description

  • Build high-quality Firefox user interfaces with accessibility and usability in mind.
  • Write code, tests, and prototypes to solve complex product and engineering problems.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to implement new interfaces and improve the web experience.
  • Work across a large, mature Firefox codebase and learn a wide variety of technical problems and solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build relationships and achieve shared goals.
  • Support fellow engineers through code reviews, talks, and documentation.
  • Promote strong code quality standards focused on performance, testing, security, usability, accessibility, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to improving engineering practices and procedures.
  • Help other teams make Firefox excellent for users.
  • Participate in open, distributed team collaboration across desktop platforms including Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • 3+ years of working experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Background in shipping high-quality software.
  • Ability to work effectively with a distributed team.
  • Strong asynchronous written communication skills and good verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Willingness to ask questions and propose new ideas.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with others.
