Description

  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda, and appellate filings.
  • E-file court documents in state and federal court.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties involved in the case.
  • Conduct legal research and factual investigation to support litigation matters.
  • Prepare discovery materials, including interrogatories, responses, and related requests.
  • Draft and serve summons and maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
  • Coordinate and summarize depositions and assist with deposition-related work.
  • Prepare trial binders, exhibits, briefs, appendices, and other case materials.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, and other litigation records.
  • Assist attorneys with witness preparation, settlements, and other assigned casework.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience.
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney in a law firm setting.
  • Experience in personal injury, workers compensation, premises, first party, medical malpractice, or other injury-related practice areas preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage a fast-paced workload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
