Description

  • Own the most complex business banking financial crime cases, including EDD, complex customer reviews, and multi-jurisdictional money muling investigations.
  • Write, review, and submit high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the National Crime Agency.
  • Maintain a regular schedule on core investigative tasks to support competency and service level agreements.
  • Coach investigators on complex financial crime typologies, best practice, and performance improvement.
  • Work closely with Operations Analysts to share emerging trends and keep operational guidance updated and embedded.
  • Conduct rigorous onboarding and ongoing compliance checks across the customer lifecycle.
  • Unravel complex financial crime typologies and mitigate risk through investigation, reporting, and account closures.

Requirements

  • Deep KYB and AML expertise with significant experience conducting end-to-end business due diligence and complex investigations in a regulated financial setting.
  • Proven ability to use open-source intelligence and analysis to corroborate customer profiles and transactional activity.
  • Strong understanding of UK and international financial crime trends affecting business accounts and the UK SAR regime.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities, new guidance, and process changes at short notice.
  • Genuine motivation to protect customers and detect and prevent financial crime.
  • Leadership or improvement experience, such as mentoring peers, driving process improvements, or holding an ICA or ACAMS qualification.
  • Availability to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm, plus one full weekend every 4 weeks with 2 days in lieu.
  • No time off approved during the first 6 weeks of employment due to training.
