Description

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for Monzo’s internal controls products.
  • Design and build automated workflows, API integrations, and low-code/no-code prototypes from problem statement to MVP.
  • Drive practical adoption of AI, including LLM prompting, custom agents, and automated evidence-gathering tools.
  • Develop real-time risk monitoring through automated data triggers, alerts, and continuous assessments.
  • Improve product adoption through intuitive workflows, clear guidance, and enablement for risk owners.
  • Lead delivery across the Controls Product & Enablement team and guide two data and automation specialists.
  • Collaborate with Product, Risk, Data, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance stakeholders.
  • Translate manual risk processes into scalable, self-service digital solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Product Manager focused on user problems, prioritization, user experience, and rapid MVP delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with data and automation, including SQL, Python or similar languages, APIs, workflow tools, or low-code platforms.
  • Practical experience experimenting with AI or LLMs to automate tasks and improve workflows.
  • Understanding of risk and controls concepts, including control design, RCSAs, and issue management.
  • Experience leading teams through change programmes, preferably within financial services controls.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguity, use first-principles thinking, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Willingness to build solutions directly rather than only define requirements for engineering or data teams.
