Description

  • Define and execute the Salesforce engineering strategy, roadmap, and architecture aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Salesforce engineers, architects, developers, and technical leads.
  • Own Salesforce technical architecture, engineering standards, and complex design decisions across multiple clouds.
  • Oversee the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and support of Salesforce solutions.
  • Establish best practices for Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, APIs, integrations, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
  • Drive platform modernization, scalability, performance, reliability, security, and technical-debt reduction.
  • Partner with business, product, security, data, integration, and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into governed technology solutions.
  • Lead integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems, including ERP, data, identity, marketing, and third-party platforms.
  • Manage engineering capacity, resource allocation, technical delivery, budget, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Track engineering KPIs and serve as the escalation point for complex Salesforce architecture and engineering issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience leading Salesforce engineering teams.
  • 7+ years of Salesforce development or architecture experience in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and developing senior technical talent.
  • Expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, APIs, enterprise integrations, data modeling, data migration, and security architecture.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, release management, source control, and automated deployments.
  • Experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise platforms using Agile, SDLC, architecture patterns, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Ability to engage executive stakeholders and translate business objectives into technology strategy.
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect credentials preferred; Salesforce Certified Technical Architect is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce Industries, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau, AI-enabled CRM, cloud platforms, event-driven architecture, microservices, or modern API architectures preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary of $142,000–$168,000 plus a 15% annual bonus.
  • Remote work arrangement with company-paid onboarding travel to Ankeny, Iowa, and occasional business travel.
