Description

  • Collaborate with animators, art, design, and engineering teams on in-game animations and cinematics.
  • Work from storyboards when provided.
  • Create strong poses and compelling visual frames aligned with character and gameplay objectives.
  • Present work, gather feedback, and incorporate input from leads and teammates.
  • Manage deliverables against milestones and deadlines while maintaining visual consistency.
  • Refine animation processes to improve production efficiency.
  • Animate diverse bipedal and quadrupedal creatures and characters for dynamic gameplay.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of animation experience using Autodesk Maya.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality animation matching a project’s style and quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of body mechanics, performance, and weight.
  • Experience animating bipedal and quadrupedal creatures.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and willingness to explore solutions beyond established approaches.
  • Experience implementing animation directly in a game engine preferred.
  • Experience with animation blend trees and node-based animation editors preferred.
  • Resume and digital portfolio or demo reel required; an animation test may be requested.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $63,000–$106,000 USD, depending on location, experience, qualifications, and work location.
