Description

  • Design and operate scalable near real-time data pipelines for payment and platform data.
  • Help evolve the data architecture from MVP pipelines to a high-availability production environment.
  • Model and process transactional and ledger-style data for reconciliation, merchant reporting, and settlement tracking.
  • Build monitoring and alerting to ensure data accuracy, freshness, and reliability across critical workflows.
  • Develop and maintain backend services that expose data to internal platforms and downstream consumers.
  • Create clean integration points for product and engineering teams through internal APIs and services.
  • Own data systems end-to-end from deployment through monitoring and ongoing reliability.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and operational playbooks in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.
  • Work at the intersection of data engineering and backend systems to support wallet connections and transaction health reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure, with production-grade systems shipped and operated.
  • Expert-level SQL skills.
  • Strong programming experience in Python or similar backend languages.
  • Significant experience with modern data stack tools such as Airflow, dbt, ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Athena.
  • Deep understanding of event-driven architectures and real-time or near real-time data processing.
  • Experience designing systems where data quality and observability are first-class concerns.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and agents, with strong discipline in validating and productionizing generated code.
  • Previous experience in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure, especially reconciliation, settlement, or ledger reporting, preferred.
  • Exposure to Web3, blockchain, or crypto ecosystems, including on-chain data or wallet analytics, preferred.
  • Experience handling high-volume event data at scale in a fast-growing startup environment, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Rust is a strong plus.
