Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable distributed backend systems for core platform and product capabilities.
  • Own backend services end to end, from architecture and implementation through monitoring and long-term reliability.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to shape product decisions and strategy.
  • Build and evolve platform backend components, including protocol integrations and support for emerging blockchain networks.
  • Implement reliable interactions with smart contracts and other Web3 infrastructure.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, performance, security, and observability across services.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment while balancing speed and technical correctness.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve development velocity and personal productivity.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and mentorship within the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience designing and building distributed backend systems.
  • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
  • Professional experience with Python 3.
  • Experience with containerized systems such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres/SQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
  • Experience with cloud environments, especially AWS.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Clear, proactive communication skills for a distributed, async-first team.
  • Strong ownership mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with blockchain systems, dApps, or smart contracts is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Golang is a bonus.
  • Prior experience in a high-autonomy startup environment is a bonus.
  • Location within time zones close to CET/EET is preferred.
