Description

  • Extend the core API stack to integrate Hyperliquid ecosystem projects and related feature sets.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Backend Engineers to improve routing, user flows, and system integrations.
  • Evaluate and propose new feature opportunities within decentralized trading.
  • Build robust backend code with a focus on high-concurrency scalability and reliability for cross-chain trading.
  • Participate in system design discussions and architecture decisions.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for backend systems.
  • Support the distribution of programmatic trading features such as TWAP and perpetuals across the DeFi ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Strong familiarity with Hyperliquid architecture, including builder codes (spot/perps), HIP-3, precompiles, and HyperEVM.
  • Professional experience building scalable APIs and backend systems using TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of orderbook mechanics and programmatic trading features in DeFi.
  • Proven backend engineering experience, especially with EVM integration patterns.
  • Ability to drive complex integrations and propose new features with minimal oversight in a remote environment.
  • Experience with bridges and backend infrastructure for multi-chain environments is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Solana or Bitcoin protocols is a bonus.
  • Experience in mobile backend development is a bonus.
  • A portfolio of past projects or self-driven exploration within the Hyperliquid ecosystem is a bonus.
  • Must be currently located in the EMEA region.
