Description

  • Manage external accounting partners and oversee deliverables for an accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting process.
  • Serve as the lead controller for digital asset accounting, including blockchain reconciliations, transaction recording, and valuation work.
  • Administer and maintain the third-party digital asset accounting subledger and ensure data integrity across financial systems.
  • Lead the monthly stablecoin attestation process and coordinate with auditors to verify reserve balances and publish reports.
  • Create and submit regulatory reports and specialized stablecoin reserve disclosures in compliance with relevant jurisdictions.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies aligned with US GAAP and digital asset accounting guidance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and compliance teams to support product launches and implement internal controls.
  • Support annual audits and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Build scalable accounting processes and workflows from the ground up in a startup environment.

Requirements

  • Active CPA certification is required.
  • 4+ years of combined experience in public accounting and in-house roles within fintech, crypto, or financial services.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage month-end close, complex reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for analyzing large, complex datasets.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a startup environment.
  • Direct experience with blockchain explorers, wallet management tools, or digital asset accounting platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial regulatory reporting frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth or early-stage startup environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in process design and workflow improvement is preferred.
