Description

  • Evaluate AI-generated mortgage underwriting decisions across multiple loan types, including conforming, jumbo, FHA, VA, and cash-out refinance.
  • Create test cases for qualifying income calculations for self-employed borrowers using IRS forms and schedules.
  • Draft and audit conditional approval letters and adverse action notices for Reg B / ECOA compliance.
  • Distinguish Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac selling guide rules from lender overlays in jumbo and non-conforming loan scenarios.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
  • Complete project tasks during active phases, typically based on 10–20 hours per week.
  • Collaborate through a project-based workflow from application to qualification, task completion, and payment.

Requirements

  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in mortgage, lending, real estate, or financial services.
  • Current or recent experience in underwriting, origination, or a closely related role.
  • Ability to calculate qualifying income for self-employed borrowers from IRS Forms 1040, Schedule C, Schedule E, and K-1.
  • Deep familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac selling guides.
  • Knowledge of Reg B, Reg Z, and TRID disclosure timing rules.
  • Strong written English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
  • Open to part-time, non-permanent, project-based work.
  • CV must be submitted in English and include English proficiency level.
